Aislaby Lodge Cottages, lie in their own private grounds, surrounded by countryside, which makes it a superb holiday base, for relaxing and enjoying the surrounding areas of coast and country.
Attractions and Scenery
Whitby as a seaside resort holds much enjoyment for everyone! It has such a maritime history, which is captured in the very essence of the town and harbour. Coastal fishing villages such as Robin Hood's and Runswick Bay, lie just north and south of Whitby, providing a rich source of heritage and beauty right on your doorstep. Surrounding countryside takes in TV's Heartbeat sets, ideal walking country and even the famous Harry Potter Hogwarts station on the North Yorks. Moors Steam Railway.
Further inland you will find the market towns of Pickering, Malton, Helmsley and Guisborough within easy reach by car. Also visitor attractions such as Castle Howard, Flamingo Land Fun Park, Eden Camp, Hull's The Deep, not to mention the wonderful delights of York City with the famous Minster.
The Cottages
Aislaby Lodge Cottages consist of 5 cottages which can sleep individually from 2 - 7 people. This is a perfect location for couples, families or groups of family and friends, for total exclusivity. The individuality of each of the cottages provides the comfort and respite of peace and space, but is perfect for a group to get to together, for a party, celebration or anniversary
A total of 24 beds, + 2 put ups and cots are available.
The breathtaking scenery gives Aislaby its wow factor!. You can sit out and admire the daffodils at Easter time or under cherry trees in the summer. Watch kestrels float overhead, or deer graze in the fields below. From time to time, you can play "Railway Children", and waive, at the whistle of the steam engines below, as they wind their way into Whitby! Or you can enjoy the walks along the old Monk's Path, known as the Esk Valley Walk, which crosses below the cottages!
Access
Both Stable and Byre Cottages are ground floor only, next door to each other, which can be an advantage for those less able. Granary Cottage also has a master bedroom on the ground floor next to the bathroom.
Facilities include, laundry with tumble dryer, for Byre & Stable cottages, pay phone, lawn play areas, private patios and gardens, BBQs, colour TV, videos, radios, internet wireless, bed linen, ample car parking - and we are dog friendly too!
