Location
Aislaby is just 4 miles north of Whitby, just off the A171, Teeside/Guisborough road. It's a small Yorkshire village set on the
Esk valley side, facing south across to the North Yorkshire Moors. Here you will find the most stunning views - some of the finest
in Yorkshire, which make it special to the area.
How To Find Us
From the South/South West, York A169 direction
Follow the road through the village of Sleights on the A169 to the roundabout joining the A171. Turn left at the roundabout on to the
A171 towards Teeside/Guisborough. 500 yards take the next left signposted Aislaby. Follow the road through the village past the The
Huntsman on the right; take the left fork at the Memorial past the Church on the left, called Egton Road. Follow the road to the 30mile
deregulation signs and immediately take the lane to the left signposted Private Road, Home Farm. Follow this lane down and at approximately
half a mile take the first left turn onto a small track, then the first right through the gate in to Aislaby Lodge Cottages. In this courtyard are
Stable and Byre with access to Home. For Granary, Farm and vehicle access to Home take the second right along the track in front of the barn.
Granary is on the right, next Farm and further round Home Cottage. Plenty of off-road parking.
From the North A171 Teesside direction
Travelling from the Teeside direction look out (3 miles out of Whitby) for the village sign to Aislaby. If you miss the first then there is a
second one further down before you get to the roundabout joining the A169. At the first signpost turn right into Aislaby village, at the
Memorial approximately half a mile turn right, back on yourself on to Egton Road and follow the above.
