Our Trainer, Graham Stephenson

Graham’s extensive gundog training career has taken him all over Europe and he has judged and trained in no less than twelve countries including France, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, the Czech Republic and Switzerland.

Graham has also bred and made up to field trial champion one of his own bitches, Rhypyker Phantom.  She came second in the Belgium Retriever Championship in 2001.  He also regularly picks up on some of the large estates near where he lives and enjoys shooting days in good company with good dogs.

Graham lives in North Yorkshire and has his own kennel (Rhypyker Kennel), currently owns five Labradors, three Cocker Spaniels and the ‘boss’ a Heinz 57 Terrier who Graham says thinks she is the size of a Great Dane!

He can cater for all categories of gundog and is able to take retriever owners from beginners right through to advanced.

Graham is a ‘B’ Panel Kennel Club judge for retrievers and over the last twenty eight years has both judged and competed extensively in field trials and working tests in the UK and Europe.
