Terms and Conditions 

Effective post 8th January 2021

Aislaby Lodge Cottages STRONGLY RECOMMEND that your Holiday Cottage booking is protected by full UK travel cancellation insurance.

1. Contract of Hire

 This short-term holiday let hiring contract, is between Aislaby Lodge Cottages and the Holidaymaker who is making the booking, and all members of the Holiday party, for which the booking is made and shall be deemed to be made subject to the Conditions of Hire herein. The Contract of Hire is not effective until Aislaby Lodge Cottages is in receipt of the initial £100 administration charge per cottage against the booking,  The contract will be subject to the booking conditions which must be adhered to.

2. Initial Payment

Bookings will be confirmed upon receipt of an administration charge of £100 per cottage. If the booking is made within 56 days of the commencement of the holiday date then full payment will be required. Please refer to Covid - 19 restrictions below£60 of the above administration charge is non-refundable and is a charge for reasonable costs incurred by Aislaby Lodge Cottages, in respect of the booking and the risks involved from Aislaby Lodge Cottages entering into the contract with the Holidaymaker(s).

3. Confirmation of Booking

The Holidaymaker is responsible for the total published price of the property(ies) and any extras as shown on the Confirmation, once the Confirmation of Booking has been issued by Aislaby Lodge Cottages. Receipt of the £100 administration charge per cottage, at the time of booking, is deemed to be the Holidaymaker(s) acceptance and agreement of Aislaby Lodge Cottages terms and conditions therein.  PLEASE ENSURE YOU READ THEM IN FULL

4. Balance of Payment

The balance of the holiday booking payment will be due from 56 days out, prior to the commencement of the holiday date by notification from Aislaby Lodge Cottages
Aislaby Lodge Cottages reserve the right to cancel a holiday where the balance of full payment has not been received, as and when notified by Aislaby Lodge Cottages within this 56 days prior to the commencement of the holiday date, in which case the full administration charge will be forfeited

5. COVID RESTRICTIONS National and Regional lockdowns

In the event of a National or Regional Lockdown, whether it be Holidaymaker or Aislaby Lodge Cottages, then you will be refunded the full cost of the booking, minus a £60 administration charge per cottage, for costs incurred and risks incurred.  

If a Government National or Regional Lockdown occurs within the dates of the holiday booking, Aislaby Lodge Cottages will offer the transfer of the full administration charge against a new holiday date, subject to availability and agreement from the Holidaymaker.  If the Holidaymaker cancels outright and does not wish to rebook, then a full refund will be repaid to the Holidaymaker less £60 per cottage, of the administration charge, as a charge against reasonable costs and risks incurred.

6. Holidaymaker Cancellation

Aislaby Lodge Cottages strongly recommends that your Holiday Cottage booking is protected by full UK travel cancellation insurance.

If you choose not to take out UK Travel insurance, (such as the Post Office or Trailfinders), then you accept the responsibility for any loss due to your cancellation. 

The holidaymaker(s) must make sure they are fully covered for personal risks which would inhibit their uptake of their booking, such as sickness (including Covid and or Covid isolation), jury service, family bereavement etc..  These eventualities do not mean a refund will be given, unless Aislaby Lodge Cottages can rebook, see conditions below.

Any cancellation made by the Holidaymaker, for whatever reason, shall be in writing to Aislaby Lodge Cottages. On receipt of such notice Aislaby Lodge Cottages shall endeavour to re-let the property for the entire period of the original booking. If Aislaby Lodge Cottages is successful in re-letting the property the Holidaymaker shall be reimbursed all monies paid less the administration charge against the cottage. Any refund will be subject to a charge made in favour of Aislaby Lodge Cottages, to the value of any expenses incurred by Aislaby Lodge Cottages in accepting a late booking, for example if a discount has been deemed necessary in order to secure a replacement booking.

7. Amenities

The use of the accommodation and amenities offered by Aislaby Lodge Cottages, such as play areas and barn facilities, are entirely at the Holidaymaker's risk and no responsibility can be accepted for any injury, or for any loss or damage to visitor's belongings.

8. Motor Car and Personal Belongings

Personal belongings are at the Holidaymaker's risk at all times. No responsibility can be accepted for loss or damage to any vehicle or its contents.

9. Party Size

Under no circumstance may more than the maximum number of persons stated in the brochure or on the website occupy a property. Aislaby Lodge Cottages reserve the right to refuse admittance if this condition is not observed. In addition Aislaby Lodge Cottages reserve the right to refuse of revoke (before or during the holiday) any bookings from parties which may in the Owner's opinion (and as their sole discretion) be unsuitable for the property.

10. Holidaymaker's Responsibilities

Damages

Damages and breakages are the legal responsibility of the Holidaymaker and such shall be refundable on demand.  The Holidaymaker undertakes to keep the property and all furniture, fixtures, fittings and effects in or on the property in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the booking and shall replace with similar or at least equal value or if Aislaby Lodge Cottages requires, to pay Aislaby Lodge Cottages the value of any property, furniture, fixtures, fittings and effects so destroyed or damaged as to be incapable of being restored to its former condition.

Pets

No more than 2 dogs per cottage. Excessively noisy dogs are not allowed to stay in Aislaby Lodge Cottages. Dogs must be under your control at all times.

When on site all dogs should be on a lead outside of the cottage garden or patio, and all poop should be bagged and binned in the designated green bins.  Please be aware of the Countryside code and leave all gates as you find them and make sure that all dogs are on leads where stock are present.

Dogs are not allowed to be left unattended in cottages for prolonged periods when you are offsite. Dogs are not allowed in bedrooms and only on furniture if you use your own personal throws for sofas and chairs.  Dogs are strictly not allowed in the Barn.

You should ensure that the cottages are left free of dog hair when leaving the propert(ies), an extra cleaning charge is payable up to £50 if this is not complied with. 

Fireworks are not allowed without express permission.  Drones and fire lanterns are expressly forbidden.

11. Availability

The Hiring Contract is made on the understanding that the property and its facilities as stated will be available for the dates. In the unlikely event of the property being unavailable through Force Majeure, and or events arising out of the control of Aislaby Lodge Cottages, then Aislaby Lodge Cottages may be forced to cancel the booking. The Holidaymaker will be advised of any such circumstances as early as possible and will (where feasible) be offered alternative accommodation of a similar type, standard, price and location. If this is not possible, or if the alternative property is unacceptable to the Holidaymaker, then Aislaby Lodge Cottages will refund all monies paid in full - but thereafter the Holidaymaker will have no further claim against Aislaby Lodge Cottages.

12. Access

Aislaby Lodge Cottages or their representative shall be allowed access to the property at any reasonable time during the holiday occupancy.

13. Arrival and Departure

The property may not be occupied before 4pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. . Please ensure all personal belongings are extracted from the premises - anything which has to be returned will be charged an up front fee of a minimum of £20.

14, Complaints

Complaints must be made during the period of the Holidaymaker's stay at Aislaby Lodge Cottages, complaints and correspondence received afterwards will NOT be be accepted by Aislaby Lodge Cottages.

15.  Aislaby Lodge Cottages reserve the right to amend their Terms and Conditions as and when necessary, due to Covid restrictions. 8th February 2021
